Usually, Metal Halide Medium Pressure UV lamps are constructed from a quartz envelope that contains mercury with metal halide additives that helps create specific wavelengths of ultraviolet radiation. With the addition of metal halides, it creates a shift in the spectral output, producing longer wavelengths which as a result enable a greater depth of cure.
